Lessons learned
Stick with the qualifying play and do not diverge from the plan. Most of the damage comes when you stop following the system and start reacting to results. Live wagers, oversized bets, and parlays can quickly turn a bad stretch into a much bigger loss.

Investment strategies and my story
I walked in at 21 convinced I already understood how the books worked. I had a deep understanding of sports—especially basketball and football—and I thought knowing more than the average person gave me an edge I could use to my advantage. Terms like public money and reverse line movement were far from my vocabulary. This false sense of confidence was exactly the trap.
